PROMOTIONS

  1. Flight Hours
  2. Bonus Hours
  3. Participation in ATP and Type Rating exams beginning at ATP Captain.

BONUS FLIGHT HOUR SYSTEM

We have developed a Bonus Flight Hour System that rewards pilot compliance with certain VA expectations, but does not require the rejection of PIREPs.  Our goal was to replace the punishment system, prevalent in so many traditional VAs, with a reward system.

Here are nine things we thought should be rewarded:

To receive the Bonus Flight Hours, CRAFvC Pilots must meet ALL of these expectations for the ENTIRE month:

  •  Take off from the airport where your last flight ended.
  •  Either fly Scheduled Flights, or Tours.  (No Charter Flights)
  •  File PIREPs with smartCARS only.  (No Manual PIREPs)
  •  Only fly at x1 time compression.
  •  Land safely on the runway.  (No crashes)
  •  Arrive with fuel onboard.
  •  Have a landing rate below -1,000 ft/min.
  •  Fly at least one flight every 7 days.  (Active AMCv pilots are exempt from this expectation)
  •  Fly at least 10 hours per month.

Pilots are not required to file any PIREP that does not meet these expectations.

All pilots who meet ALL of these expectations for the ENTIRE month will be awarded a bonus of 10% of their regular flight hours for the month.

So, a pilot who flies 100 hours each month would get an additional 10 Bonus Flight Hours for each month.  With the Bonus Flight Hours, this same pilot would fly 1,000 hours in about nine months, instead of his normal ten months.

Pilots who do not meet ALL of these expectations will still receive their regular flight hours, they just don’t qualify for Bonus Flight Hours that month.
